Cabrini Center for Physical Rehabilitation

Our physical rehabilitation unit is a special department for patients who are medically stable, but due to physical limitations, these patients need additional therapy.

The Rehab team works together to determine the individual needs of patients, develop a plan and assist our patients in achieving their maximum level of activity. Patients and their families are involved in setting goals, leading to life back in the surroundings best for that patient. The therapy team also assists in determining and arranging for equipment and home modification needs to allow patients the most freedom and safety possible. Our spacious rehab gym is equipped with many home appliances and furniture that is used in the physical and recreational therapy. At the Cabrini Center for Physical Rehab we're keeping Cenla active.

We maintain a positive environment for our patients by having the following fun activities:

• Mardi Gras Parade
• Mother's Day Dinner *
• Thanksgiving Dinner *
• Christmas Dinner *
• Every Friday there are activities such as wheelchair races, piano sing-a-longs and games for patients.

* Families are invited to special dinners

The rehabilitation unit is staffed with a skilled team of caring professionals including:

• Rehabilitation physicians or physiatrists
• Rehabilitation nurses
• Physical therapists
• Occupational therapists
• Speech and language pathologists
• Recreation therapists
• Social workers
