Every 53 seconds, someone in America has a stroke. Stroke is our nation’s No. 3 killer and is a leading cause of severe, long-term disability. At Cabrini, we’re fighting back by teaming with the American Stroke Association to provide community education about the warning signs of stroke and seeking early treatment. We’re focusing on treatment from the emergency room through physical rehab and education on the prevention of future strokes. Our stroke team consists of physicians, nurses, clinical pharmacists and therapists who work together to develop the best treatment plan for stroke victims.
