Outreach Education Programs
A wide variety of hospital-sponsored outreach education programs and classes are conducted on an ongoing scheduled basis. Some of the programs offered are prepared childbirth, parenting, sibling, breastfeeding and adolescent support classes. We offer CPR and safety education for parents, grandparents and childcare givers.
A special program called Compassionate Friends is an on-going support group for parents whose child has died. A two-day course has been developed for boys and girls, ages 11-13 to teach techniques of childcare and safety for adolescents who care for children, called Safe Sitters. For more information regarding any of our outreach education programs, contact the Cabrini Mediplex at (318) 448-6970, or Women and Children Services at (318) 448-6515.
