Pediatrics
The Pediatric Unit is an 11-bed unit specializing in the comprehensive medical/surgical care of the pediatric patient from ages 0-18. Three rooms on pediatrics are close observation rooms, equipped and staffed for children of higher care needs. For each patient there is a specialized case manager who assists the staff in the planning and implementation of patient care.
Pediatric patients and their families enjoy an at-home environment on Pediatrics. They are cared for by a nursing staff who is well trained, and certified in pediatric advanced life support. There are several nurses who are certified PALS instructors, and certified safety instructors.
Cabrini Hospital places a high emphasis on education for community on child safety. These programs include:
