As part of our commitment to the health of our community, our team of sports medicine specialists, work together to provide state-of-the-art clinical care for athletes of all ages and all skill levels. Our team commitment is to promote health and fitness through the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of sports and orthopaedic injuries.

CHRISTUS Louisiana Sports Medicine certified athletic trainers (ATC) are highly educated and skilled professionals specializing in athletic health care. In cooperation with physicians and other allied health care professionals, the ATC functions as an integral member of the athletic health care team. Athletic trainers are well versed in topics such as human anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, injury / illness prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.

At CHRISTUS Louisiana Sports Medicine Center, we work with adolescent, high school, collegiate and professional athletes. Our team of orthopaedic surgeons and athletic trainers covers more than 1,200 events and spends more than 15,000 hours on the field annually. More than 2,000 on-site injuries are evaluated every year.
